My Communities

This option will open up a Tab displaying the communities you have created or taken membership of.

Clicking a thumbnail will open up the community details in another tab, identified by the community name. This tab will contain two child-tabs. The first tab contains the following details:

  1. A brief introduction of the community.
  2. A link to the creator of that community.
  3. The list of the members of that community.
  4. If you no longer wish to be a member of that group, you can do so by clicking the "Leave Community" button at the bottom of the tab.
  5. Two other toolbar buttons at the bottom of the tab; "View Forum" and "Close Tab" allow you to view the community forum or close the child tab.
  6. In case you are the creator of the community there will be another toolbar button at the bottom of the tab - "Invite People", which allows you to invite other users to join your community.

The second child-tab contains a tree-view of all the messages posted in the community's forum. The forum tab consists of two panels, the top panel consisting of the tree-view of messages and the bottom panel to view each message. A message can be viewed in the bottom panel by clicking on the message link in the panel on top.

Create your Community:
You can create your own community by clicking the "Create New Community" button at the bottom of the tab. A floating screen will appear on the screen asking you to fill up the following information:

Name:
Name of the community.

Description:
A few lines describing the purpose and focus of the community.

Picture:
An image file (.bmp, .jpg, .gif), which represents your community.

Restricted Membership:
If you check this option, a user who wants to join your community cannot do so without your approval. Uncheck this option of you wish to disable this feature.

Clicking on "Create" will try to create the corresponding community and display whether the operation was successful or not.

Clicking on "Cancel" will stop the activity and take you back to your Krawler home.
